Nightjar Guided Walk

Despite the cold, wet weather on 6th June 2026, 45 people joined the Rangers for an evening walk on Ludshott Common. They were rewarded by seeing and listening to nightjars as well as woodcocks which use the common for nesting and feeding.
If you would like to join a guided walk to see and hear the nightjars next summer, please check this website for details or see the posters on the local reserve sites nearer the time.

Annual Christmas Tree Sale
was held on 6th December 2025
These Scot's Pine saplings were harvested from the Common. They need to be removed so that the open heathland landscape is maintained, so by supplying these we help conservation management of the site.
Quiz Night
On November 7th we held our annual Quiz with ten teams battling it out in Headley Village Hall. James Norgate, our new Ranger, did a brilliant job as quizmaster, and it won't be a suprise to anyone present to know that we have asked him to fill the position on a permanent basis!
It was a very jovial evening, much enhanced by the always sumptuous ploughman's supper, and enjoyed by all. Come and join us next year, you will be most welcome.
